About Us
Torresella wines were born in 1984 with respect for the environment, the land, and the surrounding community. As we share our groundwater with the surrounding village, we do not apply chemical herbicides and only use natural, vegan products in the vineyards and throughout the filtration process. We also take pride in using recycled glass for our lightweight bottles and FSC-certified packaging for our wines—and do all this within our winery, which has only used renewable resources from our solar-paneled roof since 2012.
Like our wines, our vineyard is born out of a dedication to our history, our present, and our future. As of the 2019 harvest, the EU awarded both our vineyards and wines the SQNPI certification stamp. This certification symbolizes our sustainable practices and certifies that everything we do is sustainable and is done for the benefit of the surrounding ecosystem. We must re-apply for this certification every year, making it a truly ongoing commitment.
To reduce our carbon footprint, we use recycled glass for our lightweight bottles in our winery's glass facility and FSC-certified packaging for our wines. We do all this within our winery, which only uses renewable resources from our solar-paneled roof since 2012. We guess you could say we are rooted in sustainability from start to sip.
